Halloween Food - Mummies and Eyeballs!

Do you want to make Halloween dinner even more spooky than usual?  :)  
Then try these fun and silly foods.  Your Family will love them!


What you'll need for the Mummies!
-Hot dogs
-Tube of biscuit dough.
-Mustard

What you'll need for the Eyeballs!
-Mashed potatoes
-Ketchup
-Olive slices (Green olives would work too!)
-Something for the eye center. (I used green frosting gel)

 How to make the Mummies:

-Cut biscuit dough into thin strips.
-Stretch dough into long strips.







-Wrap dough strips around the hot dog leaving an opening at the top for the eyes.







-Cook the dough wrapped hot dog in the oven according to biscuit dough instructions.

-Add two dots of Mustard in the opening for the eyes.

Done!


How to make the Eyeballs:
-Make your mashed potatoes and scoop them onto a plate using an ice cream scoop.
-Place a sliced olive on top and fill the center.  (I used green frosting gel.  But you could use Mustard or a pickle slice.  Use your imagination!)
-Last, use ketchup to squiggle the blood veins down the sides.
-Done

Halloween Ghost - Mashed Potato Beef Cups!

Food
Your family will enjoy sculpting their own spooky spirits for dinner!


What you'll need:
-One Buttermilk Biscuit Tube
-One pound Ground Beef
-2 cups Spaghetti Sauce
-Instant Mashed Potatoes
-One can Black Beans
The how to:
-Cook Ground beef until no longer pink. (Add diced onion and veggies if desired) Then add 2 cups spaghetti sauce and mix, heating thoroughly. Set aside.

- Spray the muffin pan with grease. Press the buttermilk biscuit dough in the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup.
-Spoon meat into each cup and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until biscuit dough is golden brown. (After cups are cooked, sprinkle cheese over meat if desired.)

-While cups are baking make mashed potatoes. 4-5 cups prepared mashed potatoes.


-Place a spoonful of mashed potatoes on top of each meat cup. Shape potatoes into the shape of a ghost. (My children really had fun shaping their own ghosts!) Use the black beans for the eyes.

-That's it! They are ready to eat!

Jack O' Lantern Chicken Pie

Fun Food

This tasty Chicken Pie will help set the Halloween mood!



What you'll need:

- Two 9 inch Pie Crust (Homemade or Store bought)
-One 12oz. Package of Frozen Mixed Vegetables
-One can Cream of Chicken soup
-1/2 cup Sour Cream
-1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt
-1/2 tsp. Season Salt
-1/4 cup Milk
-One 12.5oz. can of Chicken Breast

The how to:
-In a large bowl mix Cream of Chicken soup, Sour Cream, Mixed Vegetables (Frozen), Garlic Salt, Season Salt and canned Chicken Breast. Mix by hand until well blended.

-Unroll one pie crust and press into the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate. Pour Vegetable mixture into pie crust and spread until level.. Place the second pie crust over top of mixture and trim off any crust hanging over sides. Seal crust by pinching crust together all around the pie plate.

-Using a sharp knife, carve a Jack O' Lantern face into the crust. Leave the pieces in their places. Crack one egg into a bowl and scramble it. Paint the egg onto the crust everywhere except the insides of the face. (The egg will help the crust turn a nice golden brown)

-Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 min. or until golden brown.

Brain Cupcakes!

For The Family

Here's a treat your family will 'Think' is sweet!


What You'll Need:
-Cake Mix
-White Frosting (Store bought or Homemade)
-#12 Decorating Tip
-Decorating Bag or Plastic Bag

The how to:
-Bake cupcakes according to directions on box.

-Place #12 tip in decorating bag, or if you don't have a cake decorating tip & bag, cut the tip of a plastic bag to make 1/8 inch opening. Fill bag with frosting.

- Squeeze a line of frosting down the middle of the cupcake (just slightly off center) and around one side meeting up where you started. (creating a semi-circle) Zigzag the frosting back and forth, filling the semi circle. Repeat on other half of cupcake.

Mummy Pizzas!

Fun Food

Here is an fun and easy food you and your children will enjoy making together!


What you'll need:
-English Muffins
-Pizza Sauce
-Olive Slices
-Monterey Jack Cheese

The how to:
-Cut the English muffins in half and toast them in the toaster until golden brown. Place them on a cookie sheet and spread Pizza sauce on each one.

-For eyes, place olive slices on muffins slightly of center. Cut the Cheese in strips and place on muffins in an uneven, overlapping pattern around the olives.

-Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 5-7 min. Or until Cheese is just starting to melt.
(Pizzas can also be cooked in the microwave)
